The short answer (AI-search answer block)
What it costs. A B2B website has two costs: the build, paid once, and the upkeep, paid every month or year. Published prices range from a monthly fee for a DIY builder to tens of thousands of dollars for a B2B website design agency, depending on who builds it and what is included.
What SmartDesign costs. SmartDesign, SmartReach AI's AI-powered B2B website design solution, builds a full website of up to 7 pages from $2,500, with copywriting and SEO setup included and a 2-week turnaround from the kickoff call. A website redesign is also from $2,500. An optional CMS is +$500, and logo and branding start at $500. The optional SmartDesign website care plan is $199/month with a 3-month minimum. (SmartDesign pricing)
Who it's for. B2B SaaS companies, lead generation agencies, consultancies and sales-led businesses that want a website that books meetings from qualified visitors, including outbound clicks.

Why quotes for the "same" website are so far apart
Ask three vendors what a new B2B website costs and you can get three answers that look like they describe different projects. Windmark, a web studio, opens its own 2026 cost guide with exactly that experience: quotes of "$2,000, $12,000, and $45,000 for what sounds like the same project." (Windmark)
The gap usually isn't about the pixels. It comes from three things that rarely appear on the first page of a proposal:
- What's included. Strategy, copywriting, revisions, integrations, SEO and launch support may be in the price, or may be extras.
- Who does the work, and where. A freelancer, a studio and a large B2B website design agency carry very different overheads.
- What happens after launch. Hosting, security, backups and edits are either covered by a plan or billed when something breaks.
A low build price with expensive upkeep can cost more over a year than a higher build price with predictable monthly care. So compare both numbers.
What drives the cost of a B2B website
Scope. The number of pages and page types (home, service, case study, pricing, landing pages for campaigns) sets the baseline. Custom functionality, integrations with your CRM or calendar, and multiple languages add to it.
Strategy and copy. A B2B site has to explain what you sell to a buyer who is comparing you with alternatives. Someone has to decide who the site is for, what it says and what single action it asks for. If copywriting isn't included in the quote, you are doing it.
Conversion structure. Calls to action, forms and the path to a booked meeting are design decisions. They decide whether you get a website that books meetings or one that just collects traffic. We cover what a meeting-ready site looks like in B2B Website Design That Books Meetings.
Traffic source. If most visitors arrive from cold email or LinkedIn, the pages they land on have to continue that conversation. A website for cold outreach is planned around those campaign clicks, not just around search visitors.
SEO and AI-search readiness. Headings, metadata, schema and clear answers can be built in from the start or retrofitted later. Retrofitting is the more expensive route.
Ongoing care. Hosting, security updates, backups, small edits and SEO checks continue for as long as the site is live.
Website design cost by who builds it: builder, freelancer, studio or agency
Here are the figures we found on pages we opened on 10 October 2026. They are each company's own published prices or estimates, not ours, and they will change. Check the source before relying on them.
| Who builds it | Published figure | Source (their figures) |
|---|---|---|
| DIY website builder | Squarespace's pricing page showed its Basic website plan at $25/mo, or $19/mo on annual billing | squarespace.com/pricing |
| DIY builder (estimate) | "$200 to $500/year" | Windmark cost guide |
| Freelancer (estimate) | $1.5k to $6k | Windmark |
| Specialist studio, offshore (estimate) | "$4,000 to $15,000" | Windmark |
| US or UK boutique B2B website design agency (estimate) | "$30,000 to $50,000" | Windmark |
| Lead generation website studio | Starter Refresh $2,250 (single page), Full Site Rebuild $3,750, Custom Studio Build $5,000+ | TMN Creative |
| SmartDesign | From $2,500 for up to 7 pages, copywriting and SEO setup included; optional CMS +$500; optional care plan $199/month (3-month minimum) | SmartDesign pricing |
Two notes on reading this table. First, a builder's monthly fee buys software and templates. Strategy, design, copy and your time are on top. Second, agency and studio figures are ranges because scope varies. Windmark itself makes the point that lower quotes often get there by deleting strategy and quality checks, not by doing the same work for less.
Redesigns and rebrands: how they change the bill
Not every project starts from a blank page.
Website redesign. Redesign quotes vary as much as new builds, because the work depends on how much content, structure and copy is being kept. At SmartDesign, a website redesign is also from $2,500, with the same process as a new build: kickoff call, copy, SEO setup, 2 revision rounds and launch 2 weeks from kickoff. More in what a website redesign costs and on SmartDesign website redesign.
Rebranding. If the redesign comes with a new look, plan separately for logo and brand work. At SmartDesign, logo and branding are an add-on to a build, starting at $500. We break down the wider market in website rebranding cost.
The cost after launch
The build is a one-off. Upkeep isn't, and it's the line most buyers forget to compare.
Windmark's guide estimates hosting and platform fees at "$300 to $1,000 per year" for a typical B2B site, an ongoing care retainer at $1.5k to $4k per month, and ad hoc work at "$100 to $200 per hour" if you skip the retainer (their estimates). TMN Creative takes the opposite approach and advertises "No retainers" on its flat-fee lead generation sites.
Whichever model you choose, ask four questions:
- Who hosts the site, and who fixes it if it goes down?
- Who applies security updates and keeps backups?
- How are small edits requested, priced and turned around?
- Is anyone checking search health after launch?
What SmartDesign costs, and what you get
SmartDesign publishes its build price, its add-ons and its care plan, so you can see an affordable, professional website price before the first call.
The build: from $2,500
SmartDesign builds conversion-focused B2B websites with SEO, AI-search visibility and sales-ready structure built in from the first page. The process starts with your ideal buyer and the single action you want them to take. (SmartDesign)
A SmartDesign website build is a full website of up to 7 pages, from $2,500. It includes:
- Copywriting included. We write the copy; it is one of our specialties.
- SEO setup.
- One kickoff call and 2 revision rounds. Round 1 is based on your written feedback; round 2 is a one-hour live session together.
- A 2-week turnaround, counted from the kickoff call.
- Platform and files. Sites are built in HighLevel AI Studio and hosted on SmartConvert, and you receive a full zip of your site.
- Any language, including Hebrew and right-to-left (RTL) layouts.
Add-ons: an optional CMS is +$500, and logo and branding start at $500. A website redesign is also from $2,500.
The care plan: $199/month (optional, 3-month minimum)
The SmartDesign website care plan is optional and has a 3-month minimum. It covers:
- Hosting (SSL, uptime)
- Security
- Backups
- A monthly report
- An automated monthly SEO health check
- 1 hour of edits a month
- 10 backlink submissions a month
Extra edits are $100/hour, requested by email and handled within 5 business days. Lead alerts and review requests are not part of the care plan.
What a first year looks like
The care plan is optional. If you choose it and keep it for 12 months, the arithmetic for a build at the base price is simple: $2,500 for the build plus 12 × $199 ($2,388) for care, or $4,888 for the first year. Add $500 if you choose the CMS, plus any extra edits at $100/hour. The shortest care-plan commitment is the 3-month minimum (3 × $199 = $597). Without the care plan, the first-year SmartDesign cost is the build price itself.
What's separate: SmartConvert
A website makes someone want to talk to you. Something else has to catch that moment. That's SmartConvert, a separate SmartReach AI product: AI chat and voice, follow-up by SMS, WhatsApp and email, and meetings booked into a built-in CRM. Its own published price is $299/month plus usage-based services, with optional SEO add-ons at $199/month (SEO Intelligence) or $750/month (Managed SEO). That $199/month SEO add-on belongs to SmartConvert. It is not the SmartDesign care plan.
Questions to ask before you compare quotes
- What single action is the site built to drive, and is copywriting included?
- How many pages and revision rounds are included, and what triggers extra charges?
- How long does it take, and when does the clock start?
- Which platform is it built on, and what files do you get at the end?
- What does upkeep cost each month, is there a minimum term, and exactly what does it cover?
- What happens after a visitor raises a hand: a form to an inbox, or real-time answers and follow-up?
Ask us the same questions. Our answers: copywriting is included; up to 7 pages and 2 revision rounds are included; the 2-week turnaround begins at the kickoff call; sites are built in HighLevel AI Studio and you receive a full zip; the optional care plan is $199/month with a 3-month minimum; extra edits are $100/hour by email, handled within 5 business days. We'd rather you compare like for like.
Where SmartDesign fits, and where it doesn't
SmartDesign fits B2B teams that want a clear, affordable build price, copy written for them, a site live 2 weeks after kickoff, and a website that books meetings from qualified traffic, including outbound clicks. SmartReach AI grew out of 15+ years of running outbound, with 100M+ outbound data points and 15,000+ calls booked. (About)
It isn't the right fit if you want to build and run a simple site yourself on a template (a builder costs less), if you need a large custom platform or an enterprise procurement process, or if you want a standalone brand agency (SmartDesign offers logo and branding as an add-on to a build).
